Beautiful Very Rare handmade, hand painted Shrinathji nathdwara painting with gold foil and semi precious stones.
Nathdwara Painting refers to a painting tradition and school of artists that emerged in Nathdwara, a town in Rajsamand district in the Western state of Rajasthan in India. Nathdwara paintings are of different sub-styles of Pichhwai paintings
Pichwai is a traditional style of painting from Rajasthan. The word Pichwai stands for hanging at the back (Sanskrit word "Pichh" means back and "wais" means hanging). Pichwai are intricate paintings dedicated to Shrinathji and are typically hung behind the idol of the deity in local shrines. These elaborately handpainted artworks celebrate the different moods and expressions of Krishna, and mostly depict temple rituals like the adornment (shringaar) of Shrinathji.
